Try Nat-mur 30c – take twice a day & stop when your symptoms improve.

Try an over the counter anti-allergant (inhalant)
Rhinitis implies dust mite allergy. Make sleeping condition as clean as possible, and possibly use air filter to eliminate mites

I have the same problem. I use Nasonex spray which helps but my sense of smell is still really poor.

I use a steroid nasal spray (called Flixonase) and it really helps! Best of luck.

Antihistamines are good as are nasal sprays. But best to ask dr for an allergy test to determine exactly what sets you off.
It took 20 years for me to be offered one and it took just a few minutes. Now I know to avoid all trees, cats and grass…..hehe. Good job i’m not a dog!

Probably the best option is every day use of nasal steroids. There are a number of these, I have found Nasonex the best, and it is only once daily, there are no issues with long term use.
Another option that is sometimes successful is o take one Singulair tablet at night. In the states this has both a solo asthma licence and a rhinitis licence. The UK licence is a little blurred and currently tends to suggest its use in asthmatics who also have rhinitis. It is not a steroid and rarely has any side effects. It does however have a percentage total fail rate, unlike nasal steroids which will at least reduce symptoms in all patients, if not remove them. Some GPs are happy prescribe Singulair others would stick rigidly to the licenced use.

Have u tried Piriton? or any hayfever medication or Sinutab.
You can buy all of these over the counter no need for a prescription.
Hope you get some relief from this soon.

The congestion sounds like me. I was given the same diagnosis recently. I’ve tried a lot of Rx meds and they work at times but seem to be hit or miss. When those fail I always have Afrin to fall back on. I recommend SaltAire or a similar saline solution. My rhinitis is brought on by mold — maybe try hypoallergenic mattress/pillow covers or an air purifier. Hope this helps…

Try avoiding milk products because they encourage the production of mucus.
