Itchy Roof Of Mouth, But Dont Have Hay Fever…?
Posted by: Alan in Hay Fever, tags: Don't, Fever, Have, Itchy, Mouth, Roof
For the last few days I have had an almost unbearable itch in the roof of my mouth and moving back down my throat. I don’t have hay fever and at the moment, I don’t have time to see a doctor, until then I need to stop the itch… help… I try my best to stop the itch with my tongue and a few times I’ve been tempted to jam my toothbrush down my throat to stop it because it gets that irritating… I really need a temporary solution… anything will be appreciated… believe me lol. Thanks in advance, take care.

I get it too… doesn,t it drive you crazy!!
i’ve been told it could be house dust mite allergy.. I take anti- histamines which help a bit.
Most of the time I just ‘click’ my tongue against the roof of my mouth to try to scratch the itch..
Good luck with finding a solution.. I will watch this thread for advice for myself!

its likely an allergy or it could be a bacterial infection ..
first of all DO NOT use any product with alcohol ..because if it is a yeast infection it will only make it worse certain bacteria is destroyed by alcohol and certain bacteria feeds off of it ..
For you’re mouth swish or rinse with hydrogen peroxide then rinse with water do not swallow it if you do you will end un in casualty ..
For you’re throat gargle with warm salty water …and drink hot water and lemon juice together …
Also in case its an allergy take benadryll or diphenhydramine ..

I get an itchy palate on a regular basis. About the only thing I can do is take Benadryll, drink a lot of water, and wait for it to work.

Sounds like Mycosis, Nystatin would clear it up. Check with the pharmacist or the practise nurse first, they might send u to a Dr if its anything more serious. SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE!
