I Have A Fever…=( Help Please…?

yea im 13 years old and i am a very healthy person. I get enough sleep and everything. I havnt had a fever for a few years and i han’t had the flu. I just got my fever and im wondering if it’s allergies. and whats hay fever? i am getting enough rest and i take a lot of medicine. My temperature is 100.3….. taken from arm pits… what is the normal body tepmerature and what can i do to help my fever and be able to go to school tomorrow? (i have a huge test..) Oh and i feel like i have a cold.

Fever is your body’s natural response to a bacteria or virus. No, it’s not allergies and hay fever doesn’t give you a fever.
The fever helps heat up your body to kill the germs that are in there and so if your temperature doesn’t go any higher you can just keep drinking lots and lots of fluids and get lots of rest. If your temperature goes up to over 102 you should take something to lower the fever.
A normal temperature is around 98.6 and generally anything over 100 is considered a fever.

Fever is a manifestation of underlying conditions such as infection (bacterial/viral) etc. A temperature of 100.4 degrees F (38.0 degrees C) and above maybe considered as fever. You should consult M.D. for proper diagnosis and treatment (donot self medicate). Best regards, hope u get well soon.
