Rhinitis Treatment Care

I have asthmatic/ allergy type rhinitis and used to take lotradine every day. I am concerned that starting and stopping every four days just makes my body start making more sinus fluid and then when it gets too bad, I start up again. I read that the worst problem for allergies is to start and stop. However the one who said take it no more than 4 days at a time is my pulmonary doctor, so shouldnt he know? thanks for the help.

my eyes are stuffed, watery, itchy, and puffy from rubbing them
i also have a runny itchy nose, it started out with alot of sneezing, now the sneezing stopped but my nose is still itchy and watery too
im thinking its a cold, but do your eyes itch like mad if its a cold?, i thought hay fever did that to you,, thanx
