Usually when I think of allergies, I think of a runny nose, itchy eyes/throat and sneezing. I have none of these symptoms. I just have a year round chronic stuffy nose. I tested positive for allergies. Or do you think I have a condition known as vasomotor/non allergic rhinitis causing my year round stuffy nose?

My husband has suffered from psorisis for many years and absolutely nothing the medical profession has done has given him relief. The one treatment that might work is deemed to be too expensive and is therefore not available under the UK NHS. Recently his skin has erupted again and the itching has become unbearable. He is in pain, he cannot sleep, his skin bleeds and at night he feels as if his skin is on fire. It’s trully awful.
Before we went on holiday, he took anti-histamines – hayfever and allergy relief tablets which contain loratadine – and they have brought him relief from the itching. Question is, how long can he continue to take these tablets? Are there nasty side effects from continued use?
His local GP and the dermatologists at the hospital he has been attending for years insist he goes through every single topical cream and light treatment they prescribe before they will even contemplate alternative treatments. NONE of those treatments work – they’re a waste of money

Yesterday, I went for a walk with my brother, and during the walk we had to pass through some fields which was full of knee high grass stalks, most of them with their seeds on show. Being an utter idiot, I thought that my hay fever could stand it – how wrong I was!
When I got home I had a hay fever attack of streaming, itchy eyes, runny nose, and as a I was stupid enough to be wearing little sandals and three-quarter length trousers, my lower legs, ankles and feet all came up in hives.
I have taken anti-histamine, put ice on my legs, etc etc, but it is now a day later and the hives on my legs are KILLING me! They’re still angry and red and raised, and I can’t stop scratching them. My other hay fever symptoms are still here but they aren’t as bad anymore.
Please, please, give me some idea of what to do! I have had these kind of reactions before but never this bad and they had always subsided by now. Is there any sort of home remedies which I can use? I’m willing to try anything right now.
Thankyou in advance! x
